My heart for the church has always reached beyond the four walls of any specific place on a Sunday morning, recognizing that there is so much beauty when we come together as the larger body of Christ. The Collective was born out of a desire to simply provide spaces and times for the Church in greater Portland/southern Maine to come together to worship God and to love people.
As a part of each worship gathering, we provide a simple, tangible way that we can join together in loving others around us both locally and globally. Out of the abundance of what we've been given, and as an act of corporate worship together, we love to give generously and graciously to where God is already at work. We appreciate being able to highlight some different ministry opportunities for connection, because sometimes people just need a tangible first step to jump into something where they can serve and love, where God can take the little that is offered and turn it into much. My friend Dave likes to say "You can't do everything, but you can do something. What's your something?" My hope is that through these gatherings and opportunities to give corporately, we might help people to come one step closer to finding their individual "something."
There is room here for you. We hope you'll come join us at one of these gatherings and catch a glimpse of the beautiful thing that the Church gathered together can be.
